Dead Heat isn't the typical arcade driver. In fact, there is nothing typical about it. Dead Heat is an intense driving game that focuses on head-to-head competition. Every race is exciting and the thrill of tight races will have players scrambling for a re-match. Photos are taken of each player before the race and appear above their car during the race. This feature helps players identify their opponents quicker and heightens the competition. Players will know exactly who they are battling for first place with.

Namco's Dead Heat is the only arcade driver that incorporates social networking. Players that race each other are identified as "friends." The social networking tree expands as more and more friends race each other

Recent driver games have been trying to incorporate the idea of Street car racing and car modding into their games because of the success of the movie "The Fast and the Furious".

This game has a great license to back it up, but that is not the only reason why this game is so good. One of the things that makes this game, is the fact that you can play the game many different ways. You can play the game for fastest time or you can play for most air time. There are several categories that you can aim to excel in and there is a different leader board for each category.

A big part of the game is the ability to increase the performance of your car by modding it out. You can purchase new tires, a nitro system and even ground fx. The new game is ported on the home game works on PC system with excellent graphic.

Player has the choice of 6 licensed world rally cars plus two secrete hidden cars to be discovered.

The game has 3 different game modes to select:
Championship - Single player; Work your way through the field and beat the check point and advance to the next stage, come first overall to unlock a Head to Head race on the secret Lakeside track.
Quick Race - 1-6 players; three challenging tracks - Tropical, Canyon, Alpine, all varying in difficulty.
Classic - Relive Dessert'95 Head to Head / 1-6 players.

This game played really well, the feedback and general feel for the player was excellent. The game struck a nice balance it's not too hard but good enough for beginner to advanced player.
Overall the game looks very good especially in Sd version

Sega's InitialD 3 is a ?one on one? competitive race game which takes place on a mountain course.

Based around the characters from a famous comic strip, the player?s goal is to beat the rival and become the legendary fastest driver. InitialD 3 also has a revolutionary card system, which allows players to return to the game at a later date - wherever they last saved in their previous game.

The card system allows players to build a totally unique custom tuned car that is personal to them. The information is stored on the paper credit card with a magnetic strip similar to those issued at car parks.

Players have a choice of car manufacturer, car colours, sponsor and parts to tune the car. Each time they race the car the player accumulates competition points which allows them to add new parts and service the car - allowing players to improve their performance in each level.

Players that developed their cards on the original InitialD versions are able to use them on the sequel.

InitialD 3 features the new courses Dosaka Pass and Shomaru Pass, and new course conditions - such as snow on the Akina road. The game boasts new cars including Lancer Evolution 5, Lancer Evolution, 6TME and Skyline 25GT-T.

A new feature to this version of the game allows players to challenge their opponent at any time.
